Young hearts

Bismillahir rahmanir rahim

***

"Bez grenad da?" kata seorang pakcik Rusia (berumur lingkungan 50-an) sambil memaut aku macamlah aku ni cucu dia. I was shocked that I couldn't decipher what he was saying. Selepas barang 30 saat, baru aku faham - u're without grenade, right? Metro terus bergerak.

Aku berkira-kira dalam kepala, if I ran to the next wagon, pakcik itu akan menang kerana menyebabkan aku takut ekoran sikap minda-kelas-rendahnya - diskriminasi. I'm not afraid to stand alone - nyanyi Native Deen, and standing alone, indeed I was.

Pakcik tuh pun adelah bebel ape2 ntah kat aku.

Al-Quran? Ma'thurat? Buku-buku Islami yang ada ayat Qur'an? It's a no-no. Preferably, it should be academic books. English books, mmmm, ok lah... Buku pilihan saya belakangan ini - The Messenger : The Meanings of the Life of Muhammad by Tariq Ramadan.

To Najma

This book is a work of dawn
And you accompanied it, with your footsteps on the stairs,
Your mischievous, laughing, or sulky eyes.
You came to curl up in my arms.
I would then leave the screen through which I was immersed
In the infinite light of the Messenger's goodness and love,
To drown in the infinite light of the Messenger's goodness and love,
To drown in the infinite warmth of your presence.
The Messenger taught me forgiveness, you offered me innocence.
May your path be bright, my daughter, and may He love you
Through your smiles and through your tears.
I love you.

(Hehehe.. Memang awal-awal poem saya dok suspen, perempuan mana lah pakcik Tariq dok tulis ni.. Oh.. Anak dia.. He's a great abi!!! =D )

Tapi, hari ini, Syaratul share link sebuah talk by pakcik Tariq. And it was a blast! (blast = best! Not grenade, ok) Apatah lagi itu adalah talk di US - pusat segala Islamophobia. Jazakillah Syaratul for making my day. --> (ayuh, dengar!)

Allahualam..
